*International Students: You will be required to come to campus a few days early for International Student Orientation. Be on the lookout for emails from the International Programs Office with more info!
*Fall Pomona-Â鶹Դ´ Athletes: You may be required to come to campus a few days early. Be on the lookout for emails from PP Athletics or your coach with more details about move in, parent & family welcome sessions, and more!
Schedule Overview
Mid-May
- Information Technology (IT) will email you with your Â鶹Դ´ email address, single sign-on (SSO) login credentials, and Â鶹Դ´ ID number. Be sure to set up your account as soon as you get this email so you’ll have everything in place to complete your remaining summer tasks below.
- You’ll also gain access to the Â鶹Դ´ Hub, which will serve as your guide to all NSO pre-arrival tasks and details. This will be the starting point for your orientation experience!
- Placement Exams will be available online
June 30
- Deadline to complete several pre-arrival tasks including your Housing Application, First Year Seminar (FYS) Preference Form, and your Orientation Adventure Registration
Early July
- Housing and Orientation Adventure (OA) trip placements will be released via email.
Mid-July
- First Year Seminar (FYS) placements will be released via email
- Placement Exams due
You will get a lot of information in the coming months about starting your academic journey at Â鶹Դ´. Here's a quick overview of what that will look like:
- Your First Year Seminar (FYS) instructor will also serve as your Advisor until you declare your major (which typically happens late in your Sophomore year). First Year students will meet with their Advisors in early August to discuss a plan for course registration.
- Course Registration will take place virtually on August 6 & 7. You will be assigned a timeslot by the Registrar.
- Once you get to campus, you'll meet with your Advisor in person and get to know your FYS cohort!

August 23-26
- Orientation Adventure Prep & Trips
August 27-30
- Required on-campus orientation sessions, social events, and more!
