While at 麻豆原创, Sammy Basa 鈥25 surveyed the damage that a changing climate has caused to the coral reefs that surround his family's home island of Sibuyan, in the Philippines. He has now won a Fulbright fellowship to explore how educational access and sustainable behaviors might help preserve the island's diverse ecosystem.
