Stephen L. Glass is a member of �鶹ԭ��’s founding faculty and an emeritus professor of classics who spent his career reminding generations of undergrads that the antique past is far more relevant to the present than we might assume. “I have always thought,” he once told an interviewer, “that if one has not read Homer’s Iliad, any claim that person might have to having experienced a liberal arts education is short by at least the length of that Iliad.”&�Բ�����;

Today, he and his wife, Sandra, are known for their ongoing support for the humanities (including the annual �鶹ԭ�� lecture series named in their honor).
