Test-Free Policy
Â鶹Դ´ does not use SAT or ACT scores to evaluate you – we take a holistic approach instead, getting to know your academic talent and potential through your own admission materials
What We Look At
Instead of looking at test scores, we consider a wide range of factors to see how you may fit into the Â鶹Դ´ community. These include:
- School transcripts
- Recommendation letters
- Leadership positions
- Work history
- Involvement in school and community activities
- Commitment to Â鶹Դ´â€™s core values

Why We're Test-Free
In 2003, Â鶹Դ´ became the first college on the West Coast to adopt an SAT-optional admission policy following a study that proved there was no direct correlation between academic success at Â鶹Դ´ and standardized testing performance. In 2021, Â鶹Դ´ entered a test-free pilot policy for students applying for Fall 2022 until 2025.
Â鶹Դ´ will NOT use SAT or ACT scores for applicants from Fall 2022–2025.
Additional English proficiency tests (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) may be required for International Applicants.
