What is the Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ Program?

The Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ program is a program designed for high school seniors attending school in the United States that are either first-generation college students and/or from lower-income socioeconomic backgrounds. This program allows participating students to visit Âé¶¹Ô­´´ on an all-expenses paid multi-day trip to campus.

Upcoming Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ Dates

Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ Spring 2026

April 2 - 4, 2026: A select group of admitted students will be invited to attend the spring Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ program. Invited students will hear directly from the admission team with details about next steps and how to coordinate their participation in this fully funded, multi-day campus visit experience.

How to Apply

  1. At Âé¶¹Ô­´´, five core values distinguish our approach to education: social responsibility, intercultural understanding, interdisciplinary learning, student engagement, and environmental sustainability. As agents of change, our students utilize these values to create solutions to our world’s challenges. Please answer only ONE of the following prompts in 650 words or less:
    1. Describe what you are looking for from your college experience and why Âé¶¹Ô­´´ would be a good fit for you.
    2. Reflecting on your involvement throughout high school or within the community, how have you engaged with one or more of Âé¶¹Ô­´´â€™s core values?

Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ FAQs

Âé¶¹Ô­´´ seeks to enroll students whose experiences offer varying perspectives on living and learning in our complex world. In order to accomplish this, we offer this program to encourage students to connect and enroll at Âé¶¹Ô­´´.

  • Who is eligible?
    High school seniors attending school in the United States that are either first-generation college students and/or from lower-income socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • How do I apply?
    Please complete the online application. Additionally you will need to upload an unofficial copy of your high school transcript with your application. The application for Fall 2026 will be release in the summer.
  • How do I know if my application was received?
    Once you apply online, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your application. If you do not receive an email, please call our office at 909.621.8129 or email our team at Preview_Âé¶¹Ô­´´@pitzer.edu.
  • Why should I apply?
    The program provides students, who might not otherwise have the means to visit Âé¶¹Ô­´´, with an opportunity to experience our campus community on a fully funded trip.
  • What will students do?
    As a participant of the Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ Program, you will have the chance to meet with faculty, staff and student mentors. The Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ Program is a chance to learn about all the things that make Âé¶¹Ô­´´ special and have all your questions answered prior to applying for first-year admission in the fall.
  • Will the program cover the other Claremont Colleges?
    While there will be some exposure to the other Claremont Colleges, this program is geared towards students who are interested specifically in Âé¶¹Ô­´´. Students are required to stay on Âé¶¹Ô­´´â€™s campus at all times unless otherwise stated.
  • Does attending the Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ Program increase my chances of being admitted to Âé¶¹Ô­´´?
    Âé¶¹Ô­´´ employs a holistic admission review process, in which a variety of factors are taken into account by admission staff. Attending this program does not guarantee admission to Âé¶¹Ô­´´, while not being selected for the program does not prevent a student from gaining admission.
  • Are parents welcome on the Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ Program?
    While we love our prospective families, the Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ Program is a student only program. There is no room for parents on this fast paced program, and we are not able to provide transportation for any family members. Parents are welcome to email Preview_Âé¶¹Ô­´´@pitzer.edu if they’d like to learn about other ways they can visit Âé¶¹Ô­´´.
  • I can't attend the program. Are there other opportunities to visit campus?
    Unfortunately, we are not able to offer other all expense-paid options outside of the Preview Âé¶¹Ô­´´ Program. Discover our other visit opportunities.
