Â鶹Դ´ Active Minds
Active Minds at Â鶹Դ´ strives to create productive programming surrounding the destigmatization of mental health and illness, all while promoting on-campus resources, with the goal of creating a welcoming space for all.
Active Minds is the nation's leading nonprofit organization providing mental health awareness and education for young adults. We believe that by empowering young adults to speak openly about mental health, we can reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and prevent suicides. Our chapter at Â鶹Դ´ hosts biweekly tabling events about pertinent campus issues relating to mental health, while allowing for accessible and casual opportunities to feel comfortable talking about mental health. We additionally host a variety of events with affinity groups and other campus partners, to connect students with essential and supportive peers.

Our Ambassadors
Active Minds at Â鶹Դ´ has a group of dedicated students to provide support and promote on-campus resources for students. All ambassadors have received mental health first aid training, trauma-informed care training, and an in-depth training regarding the resources available for students. Each ambassador functions as a liaison for an affinity group of resources on campus, and creates programming in collaboration with them. Ambassadors additionally host drop-in hours weekly for student support with an emphasis on creating a safe space.
