Move Out Timeline:

  • Saturday, May 16
    Residences close at 5:00p.m. for all students except graduating seniors.
    [Service Road between Mead Hall and Atherton Hall will be closed until 2 p.m. (open 2 p.m. - 9 p.m.) on Saturday, May 16, 2026, please make sure you plan accordingly.]
     
  • Sunday, May 17
    Residences close at 5:00p.m. for graduating seniors.
     
  • Wednesday, May 20
    All late stay students must be off campus by Wednesday, May 20th.

Late Stay Requests

Late Stay requests are due by Friday May 8th.

Cleaning & Storage Guidelines

To avoid a fine, please follow these protocols.

  • Shower Area: All items and decorations removed, drains cleared, walls and floors scrubbed, windows closed
  • Toilet Area: Toilet wiped down and cleaned; all items removed, windows closed
  • Counter, Sink, and Mirrors: All surfaces cleaned and cleared
  • Shelves and Floors: Floors swept and mopped; shelves emptied and wiped
  • Floors: Carpets vacuumed; all trash and personal items removed
  • Desk, Hutches, and Drawers: Cleaned out and wiped down
  • Walls: Decorations and adhesives removed; walls wiped
  • Trash: All trash removed to dumpsters/trash rooms; no hallway trash
  • Beds: Bed frames reassembled
  • Green Boxes: Returned to dining hall
  • Furniture: Students are responsible for any missing furniture
  • No bikes may be left on campus over the summer.
  • All bikes remaining on campus will be cut and confiscated on May 28.

Âé¶¹Ô­´´ does not offer on-campus summer storage. Students must arrange their own storage. However, we do partner and recommend a few storage options.

    (Submit this code on last page when making your reservation) The special code is limited to the first 50 students so please reserve your spot as soon as possible.

Guidelines for having a storage pod delivered to campus

  •  
    • Students must complete the required Âé¶¹Ô­´´ form after reserving a container or may be fined
  • Maximum of 72 hours on campus unless approved by Housing
    • If a storage container needs to stay longer than 72 hours, please contact housing@pitzer.edu for approval for time extension.
    • Without an approved extension, the student will be charged a fine for each day the storage container remains on campus
  • Earliest Arrival: Friday May 9th 
    • Containers outside this timeframe will be towed and fees assessed
  • Last Departure: Tuesday May 20th
    • Containers outside this timeframe will be towed and fees assessed
  • Placement is limited to the   (designated spaces near Claremont Blvd.)

Students are responsible to communicate these guidelines to the storage company they choose.
