Community Public Health (CPH)

Public Health Fair 2025

The Community Public Health (CPH) Pillar exists to:

  • Advance health equity,
  • Empower communities
  • Promote social justice.

Through interdisciplinary coursework and hands-on experiences, students work directly with local communities to address health disparities and advocate for marginalized populations.

By harnessing collective power and partnering with the community, the program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to drive systemic change and create healthier, more equitable communities.

Community Public Health in the CEC

Public Health Fair

In the Spring of 2024, the Public Health pillar hosted the first annual "Public Health Fair" on campus. This event brought local organizations and resources to campus available to all students, staff, faculty and community. A deep consideration the CEC and students supporting the Public Health pillar took in planning this event was to ensure it was accessible to Â鶹ԭ´´ staff as a means to promote an equitable environments on campus. This event is hosted during Public Health Week and is now a staple in our spring programming

Cultural Organizing

In collaboration with CASA Â鶹ԭ´´ and partners, the Public Health pillar has offered support for the ongoing " Cultural Organizing Train-the-Trainer" workshops hosted off campus at CASA Â鶹ԭ´´.
